Places To Visit In Palakkad Palakkad Fort :The Palakkad fort which is situated in the town itself was built in the year 1766 by Hyder Ali of Mysore. The fort was modified by the British in 1790. There is an open air auditorium namely Rappadi, inside the fort. The auditorium serves as a platform for musical concerts and other public events.

Malampuzha Garden :We have Malampuzha garden, which is the most attractive spot in Palakkad. It is situated 12 KMS away from Palakkad town. There is a dam and a beautiful garden. Also an aquarium exists which will be an amazing experience for the fish lovers.

Parambikkulam wild life sanctuary

Parambikkulam wild life sanctuary is a national park which has large population of Bisons. Also, it houses elephants and wild boars. The wild life sanctuary is a valley and it lies between the Annamalai ranges of Tamil Nadu and the Nelliampathy ranges of Kerala. The whole sanctuary spread over an area of 285 sq. kilometers.

Nelliyampathy :Nelliyampathi, the hill station is situated at a height of 467-1572 meters above the sea level. It provides breath taking scenario of the Sahya range. The place is a favourite spot for trekkers.

Silent Valley Wildlife Sanctuary :

The Silent valley wild life sanctuary located in the Kundali hills of Kerala is considered to be the last pristine region of tropical ever green forest in India. It consists of large amount of bio diversity. The national park is famous for rare herbs and plants. The Siruvani dam at 48KMS from Palakkad has a dam which stamps the Kerala and Tamilnadu architectural styles.

Dhoni :The hills, rocks and valleys which contribute to the very unique character of Wayanad provide a lot for adventure tourism. Trekking to the Chembra peak is a risky mountaineering endeavour. Chembra peak, the highest hill in Wayanad, is near Meppady town. Trekking to the top of this peak takes almost a day. Tourists can also stay one or two days at the top of the peak in temporary camps.

Attapadi :Attapadi situated at the elevated mountainous plateau in Western Ghats is 80 Kms from Palakkad.

Kanjirapuzha :Kanjirapuzha is famous for the dam and the catchment lake. The area surrounded by hilly rocks and greeneries create a scenic landscape. This place is 24 Kms away from Palakkad

Malayalappuzha :The Bhagavathy temple of Malayalapuzha is famous for its beautiful paintings and stone works. The deity of this temple helps in realizing people’s dreams.

Siruvani :Dam in siruvani gives drinking water to millions of people. It is situated 48 Kms from Palakkad. Siruvani is a place with thick forests with all kinds of wild animals.

Meenvallam :Meenvallam is located at a distance of 37 Kms from Palakkad Tourist Places.There are 10 steps of Water Falls at Meenvallam, the originating point of Thuppanadu river. The height of the fall varies from 5 to 45 meters
